The National Archives

The National Archives are located at Kew in London. They contain a wealth of historical information including a huge collection of records dealing with Britain's military history. More information on what they hold can be found on their website;

The London Metropolitan Archives

The London Metropolitan Archives (LMA) is the largest local authority record office in the United Kingdom. They hold an enormous amount of information about the capital and its people. The records cover a period of nearly 900 years. LMA is situated in Islington London. More infromation on the records they hold can be found on their website;

The Society of Genealogists Library

The Society of Genealogists library is the foremost in the British Isles with a large collection of family histories, civil registration and census material, and the widest collection of County Sources in the country (over 9,000). The library catalogue can be found here;
