How To Pay

You can now order birth, marriage and death certificates online with your credit or debit card if you know either the full GRO (General Register Office) index reference eg Name, District, Volume, Page , Quarter and Year or the approximate date of the event. The GRO index information can be found at the Ancestry website:- FREE - Birth, Marriage & Death Records (opens in new window) OR at FreeBMD (opens in new window).

You can also order an English or Welsh will directly with your credit or debit card.

For birth, marriage, death certificates where you do not know the full index information or are not sure of the date of the event payment is a simple three step process;

STEP 1

You submit your order via the Order a Certificate pages.

STEP 2

We send you an email within 48 hours confirming your order and containing an invoice. The email will give you an option of paying by credit or debit card securely online via PayPal (You do NOT need a PayPal account). In addition to PayPal;

For Customers outside the UK we will also accept IMO (International Money Order) in pounds sterling.

For Customers in the UK we will also accept cheques and postal orders.

STEP 3

Once you have paid we will process your order, ask you for your address and send your certificate(s) to you.

The above costs include the certificate, postage and packing/shipping. If you supply us with index information we will check it for you. If there is any discrepancy between the information you provide us and the actual index we will contact you. Please read our Terms and Conditions for information regarding refunds if no certificate is produced.

English and Welsh wills costs;

The above costs include a copy of the Will or Letter of Administration if found and postage and packing/shipping. If no will is found you will be refunded £5.
